Twin 15" !!!
This beauty was bought yesterday ( 23 Feb 98). I had bought it unseen from somebody who decribed it as a 1960's AC30. When it arrived, I immediately noticed the size of the cabinet which is about 25% larger in every dimension than a standard AC30. I had never heard of or seen a twin 15" model but a good friend in Germany with whom I do a lot of business informed me that this is possibly the rarest of all the AC30s, with only 100 having ever been made. The condition is good but not mint. As you will notice from the photo, one of the speakers has lost its magnet cover but the amp works fine and looks great ! Price is $1900 USD inc. air which I suspect is VERY cheap ! Ask yourself, "where would I find another ! ".
Vox AC30’s in Tan !!!
These are among the most difficult of the AC30’s to find, even here in England. Occasionally, we have one or even two in stock. The price for a good , original example, with back panel top boost, including shipping to the USA is $2415 USD. The picture below is of a nice example of a non top boost AC30 in tan which is complete with blue bulldog Celestion speakers.

Quite unusual now in the U.K. The photo shows an extremely nice example with matching extension cabinet with blue speakers. The grille cloth is of the brown, rather than the black type and the cabinet has a leather handle rather than the usual plastic type. It's anyones guess whether this is original or not but my opinion is that it probably is. Price is $1650 USD per head and cab including air to the USA. The heads without cabs are $850 USD. inc.
Vox AC30’s in poor cosmetic condition.
If sound is more important to you than looks and perhaps you are a player rather than a collector then maybe you should consider buying an AC30 in heavily used condition and possibly restoring it yourself at a later date. The price is $1125 USD inc. air to the USA. A picture of one of our typical $1125 USD AC30’s is shown below. You can see that the amp is basically complete but the tolex is badly torn, the grille cloth is non existent and it has a non original transformer. However, both speakers are original and the amp works and sounds great !
